The Forklift Technical Trainer works closely with the Technical Training Team and Dealer service principals to instruct, train, and provide dealer support, communication, and implement training solutions for Forklift Technical Training. Effectively manage the Hyundai Material Handling internal, dealer & vendor relationship with product support ensuring, dealer service capability, customer satisfaction (retention), and product uptime. Works closely with the Director of Aftermarket to align & meet organizational objectives. Maintain an emphasis on serving the needs of the customer, best in class experience & promoting a positive serve the client environment within the product support team.

Support Dealers with technical, warranty, and training problems. Interact with dealers to support the sales effort and overall satisfaction with the product/equipment. **Requirements / Skills**

Work environment and requirements:

10+ years as an experienced technician is required. Diploma, degree, or certifications in an industrial truck or heavy construction equipment field preferred. The candidate must have excellent knowledge and understanding of the theory of operation of gasoline, diesel, and LPG engines, hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic systems. The candidate must also possess excellent communication skills.

The work environment is a non-smoking office environment. Some heavy lifting required. Mostly sitting with computer and phone usage. 25%-30% travel required. Accommodations can be made for handicapped employee. Travel only on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:

* Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and power train systems of class I, II, IV, and V industrial trucks.

* Ability to create training classes and develop training material on new units as released. Hands-on training class development.

* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in the aforementioned areas.

* Must have an industry-related diploma or degree from an accredited technical college and/or extensive experience in an industrial truck technical field.

* Familiarity with PowerPoint and related presentation systems and the ability to modify existing presentations and create new presentations and training material.

* Ability to research and install problems in the training machines and instruct students during hands-on portions of the classes to explain proper troubleshooting procedures and best practices.

* Possess strong public speaking and communication skills and be able to effectively conduct training classes and present training materials.

* Must possess an inordinate amount of patience and have the ability to interact and communicate effectively with different nationalities, ages, and experience levels.

* Must be able to function well in a team environment to achieve training department goals.

* Must be a self-starter and able to stay on task, meet deadlines and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.

* Must be able to travel periodically (domestic and international) and be able to legally obtain a passport when n needed.

* Works closely with training to communicate dealer needs, technician capability, schedule & location.

* Maintains proactive communications to capture incoming feedback & outgoing messaging alignment.
