Title: Form/Pattern Maker
Reports to: Plant Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Make molds and plugs for the manufacturing of parts using various types of wood and power tools. See your work transform into a manufactured part. Become part of a growing team that is ready to expand what we can do.
Starting wage: Up to $25/hr depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret part prints.
- Make CAD drawings to make forms/molds.
- Build molds according to blueprint.
- Cutting/trimming wood to fit design.
- Use correct tools for the job.
- Cleaning and maintaining work tools.
- Cleaning and maintaining safety equipment.
- Cleaning work areas at the end of the workday.
- Working in a safe manner and following all safety rules.
- Other activities or tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous woodworking experience required.
- Finish carpentry, furniture making, experience a plus.
- CAD experience required.
- Previous pattern making, form making experience a plus.
- Experience managing a small team a plus.
- Experience with saws, drills, routers, planers, sanders, etc. required.
ATTRIBUTES:
- Position requires light to medium physical requirements including pushing/pulling, bending/stretching, and standing.
- Able to work with others as a team.
- Able to stand for 8 hours or more a day.
