Role Description

We're seeking a Founding AI Engineer to build the core infrastructure that transforms experimental AI into production-ready systems. You'll work across our entire stack, with strong opportunities for growth.

Your responsibilities will touch most parts of the company and will involve closely supporting across a range of areas, including but not limited to:

• Architect and implement production ML systems, from research paper implementation to deployment
• Devise and implement alignment techniques for improving LLMs
• Optimize model inference and deployment pipelines for enterprise-grade performance
• Build robust data collection pipelines and fine-tuning workflows for deep neural networks
• Drive technical decisions that shape our product strategy and roadmap
• Work directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver solutions
• Establish engineering best practices and help build our technical culture

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack engineering background with production experience
• Expertise in ML engineering and modern AI frameworks
• Proficiency in Rust/Go for backend systems, Python for our SDK, and TypeScript for frontend development
• Experience optimizing and deploying ML models at scale
• Experience working for a startup
• Bonus: PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Math, Physics, or related field
• Bonus: Applied AI experience working with PyTorch and implementing papers
• Bonus: Based in New York and excited to work closely with the founding team
