Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Founding AI Engineer at Safeguards AI located in Brooklyn, NY, with flexibility for some remote work.
Your responsibilities will touch most parts of the company and will involve closely supporting across a range of areas, including but not limited to:
- Implement state-of-the-art AI research papers, build datasets, train and deploy models into production
- Devise and implement ground-truth data collection techniques for fine-tuning deep neural networks
- Implement pipelines to optimize models for inference and production deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customers needs
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the impact and efficiency of AI implementations
- Play a key role in forging the culture of our technical team
- Contribute to the overall product strategy and roadmap, providing technical insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience deploying LLM/ML models to production
- Experience with generative model architectures, including Retrieval Augmented Generation, Graph Learning, AI agents and tree-search augmented LLMs
- Full-stack ML development experience
- Ability to understand and implement technical state-of-the-art research papers
- Publications in top deep learning venues (ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, CCVPR)
- Experience building fast-changing enterprise software in a high-growth environment
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Math, Physics, or related field
