CrowdVolt is reinventing the way tickets are bought and sold, starting with raves and electronic dance music concerts.
We graduated from Y Combinator last December and since have raised a $1.8M+ seed round. CrowdVolt has been growing rapidly and we are bringing on a full-time engineer to support this growth. You will work directly with our CTO and existing engineers + designers.
What you'll build
- Design and implement responsive, high-performance front ends with attention to UX detail
- Architect and develop sophisticated back-end systems to manage our complex operational workflows
- Own and develop features across our entire product stack, from ideation through deployment
- Drive product decisions through direct user feedback and data analysis
- Create resilient web scraping infrastructure to gather up-to-date event data
Our ideal candidate
- Intensely curious about software engineering - you should be EAGER to work across the entire stack and seek to understand how every component of the system works
- Has experience building their own projects or owning large sections of a code base
- Bias toward action and rapid iteration
- Comfortable with Python, React, NextJS, and Postgres
Our values
- Ship extraordinarily fast and often
- Practice radical transparency and over communication
- Drive runs in your DNA - you want to win more than anything else
- No superiority complex: willingness to answer customer phone calls
- Make data-driven decisions based on expected value
- Ruthlessly prioritization of work, but still get everything done
What we offer
- Unlimited PTO
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family.
- Competitive salary with significant equity options.
- Team lunches 2x/week.
- Regular team dinners, socials and off-sites to connect, collaborate, and build team spirit (including EDM shows and raves!) 💃
We are a scrappy start-up that is passionate about executing for our user base; we have a lot of fun, but also work incredibly hard. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of drive, an inquisitive mindset, willingness to learn and commitment to quality. As an early team member, you'll gain hands-on experience across the tech stack. You'll also have opportunities to develop leadership skills as we scale. If you are looking to have a real impact, become a better engineer, and ride a rocket ship we would encourage you to apply.
