Job Title: Maintenance Manager Reports To: General ManagerFLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt Supervisor Responsibilities: Yes - Department LeaderPosition Summary:We are seeking anexperienced and dedicated Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at our foundry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all equipment and systems, leading a team of maintenance technicians and implementing preventative maintenance programs. The Maintenance Manager provides leadership to all three operating shifts, and has key responsibilities in employee safety and training, scheduling, and efficiency. This position requires a solid understanding of multiple maintenance components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, electrical and the use of precision measuring devices. Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Trains, develops and manages all foremen for each assigned shift.
  • Trains and manages hourly maintenance employees on the assigned shift and process area.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of direct reports.
  • Provides engagement and performance evaluation for direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements and maintains maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
  • Designs and executives preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment, reduce unexpected failures and support operational utilization and efficiency through the reduction or elimination of downtime or bottlenecks.
  • Maintains accurate records of all maintenance activities including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Conducts regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develops and maintains emergency response plans for equipment failures and other maintenance-related incidents.
  • Performs root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implements corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Leads and manages maintenance projects such as upgrades, retrofitting, and overhauls, ensuring that projects or tasks are completed on time and within the budget.
  • Will provide maintenance employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations.
  • Perform daily Inspection of Departmental Process Equipment. Promptly address performance issues.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Will follow policies, procedures and business plan while coordinating work activities with other managers.
  • Oversee departmental payroll such as checking and auditing timecards, adjusting and recording attendance.
  • Recommend measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and utilization of machinery.
  • Proactively locates, diagnoses and remedies mechanical or electrical issues or troubleshooting to avoid production down-time or shutdowns.
  • Assigns reactive and proactive maintenance plans to foremen and/or hourly workers using work orders and shift plans.
  • All other duties as assigned; this list is non-exhaustive of the functions that the incumbent will perform.
Requirements:
  • Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in an industrial production environment such as maintenance, construction, assembly, machining, fabrication, or foundry operations.
  • Must have excellent trouble shooting skills.
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role, directing the daily work of others required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or related field. Consideration given to candidates with experience in lieu of education. (Preference to Electrical Engineering)
  • Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
Job Type: Full-time - 8 Hour Shift. Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday overtime may be assigned.Salary: $100,000 - $130,000.00 per year base. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus.Benefits:
