We are recruiting for a Foundry Manufacturing/Operations Manager for a leading provider of precision components and machining solutions to assist in the oversight of foundry operations, to ensure peak productively, quality, and safety and continuing process improvements.
Salary for this role is $100-130K (depending on experience) with a full benefits package and relocation assistance is available.
Specifically, this position will:
- Guide a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators, setting clear goals and expectations in alignment with company objectives, while fostering open communication and teamwork
- Oversee operations, including melting, molding, pouring, and finishing processes.
- Ensure efficient production schedules are in place, optimizing operations and equipment reliability, ensuring production goals are met or exceeded
- Ensure quality control measures are in place to ensure high-quality castings.
- Champion safety practices
- Efficiently allocate resources, including people, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal production can be achieved
- Identify cost savings opportunities and implement process optimization to improve operational profitability.
Ideally, candidates should possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in foundry operations with exposure to foundry processes, including melting, molding, core making, and casting (including co-ops/internships).
- 1+ years managerial experience in a foundry strongly desired
We are looking for a seasoned foundry manager ($130K ish for experienced candidates) or, a more junior candidate with foundry experience/exposure. Sandcasting, preferably Aluminum, is strongly desired.
