We are adding a 3rd shift to our Foundry!
These positions will be on 3rd shift with 4-6 months training on 1st shift.
Our Foundry Employees work 4days a week, 10 hours a day with OT available.
If you have Foundry Experience, that is a plus, we will also train those with the right attitude.
We are looking for Operators, Melters and Assistants
Basic Duties:
Operator:
Operate and adjust DC Cast system. Operate the coreless induction melting furnaces. Ability to perform a variety of duties incidental to the pouring and melting of copper and copper alloys at the Foundry and DC Caster locations. Operate electric induction and/or gas crucible furnaces and operate controls to cast metal to proper casting speed and time cycle. Assist in training whenever needed. Other duties may be assigned.
Melter:
Load and charge furnaces conforming to the recipes prescribed for specific alloys as scheduled. Must have a thorough and profound knowledge of melting practices, including the equipment, and the alloying of materials to meet all standards and quality specifications. Ensure high standards to achieve quality and eliminate scrap. Evaluate and maintain furnace which includes lining and associated systems. Must be able to step in and operate and adjust DC Cast systems as required. Work under general plans and direction of supervisor on a daily basis, consult with Supervisor on any specific problems or operating difficulty encountered during production of assigned jobs. Will assist in training of new employees as needed. Responsible for inspecting and wearing personal protective equipment as required by Company safety policy found in Safety Manual. Other duties may be assigned.
Assistant:
Load and charge furnaces as assigned and directed conforming to the recipes prescribed for specific alloys as scheduled. Must have a basic knowledge of melting practices, including the equipment, and the alloying of materials to meet all standards and quality specifications. Ensure high standards to achieve quality and eliminate scrap. Must be able to step in and assist in various operations as directed by supervisor which include performing flow control of AS CAST system, maintaining launders, nozzles and molds pertaining to this system. Ability to run billet saw and cut samples as directed. Must be able to have basic knowledge of the spin cast operation and fill in as work requires. Work under general plans and direction of supervisor on a daily basis, consult with Supervisor on any specific problems or operating difficulty encountered during production of assigned jobs. Will assist in training of new employees as needed. Responsible for inspecting and wearing of personal protective equipment as required by Company safety policy found in Safety Manual. Other duties may be assigned.
