Job Description:

* The rapid growth of TDK's product diversity and volume has resulted in the need for Foundry Technology Engineer - Sr Staff, who will contribute on the productization of new MEMS motion sensors. Successful candidate will work on following activities:

* Work with internal teams (Foundry, MEMS, NPI teams) to jointly define new process modules and process architectures to support future motion sensor product roadmap

* Work with internal/external foundries to execute process module roadmap

* Drive internal/external foundries for development of new robust process modules and unit processes, integrate new processes and modules, and transfer technology suitable for volume production

* Transfer and bring up technologies including new processes and modules at additional external foundries

* Evaluate new MEMS designs and new MEMS process and their interactions for the mass-production manufacturability

* Lead foundry routine tape-out activities for MEMS and CMOS. Coordinate resources and schedule with design team and foundry.

* Work with foundry to address gaps in design rules. Support DRC update and validation with internal teams.

* Improve MEMS process predictability with simulation. Work with foundry and design team to build process and device models.

* Assessment of device reliability based on use conditions and device SOA evaluations

* Working with foundry to address device related yield/reliability issues

* Working with internal teams to jointly define device roadmap requirements

* Analysis of foundry WAT data to address yield/ reliability issues

* Work with design/engineering team to launch and validate test chips and technology development vehicles

Requirements:

* Master/Ph.D. in EE, ME, Semiconductor Physics or related field with 8+ years experience

* Demonstrate broad experience with MEMS semiconductor fabrication processes (knowledge in CMOS semiconductor technology is a plus)

* Demonstrate proven track record in MEMS or CMOS technology development

* Solid understanding of semiconductor devices, layout and device characterization

* Experience with foundry management and tape-out flows

* Experience with CAD tools, such as L-edit and Cadence.

* Experience in MEMS or CMOS device layout, design, and characterization

* Ability to organizing complicated data sets of diverse materials and products

* Excellent written and oral communication skill with internal teams and external foundries

* Ability to work in a fast-paced global multi-site environment

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Proactive, self-drive and highly motivated
