HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACTThe FP&A Manager will be an integral member of the Varsity Spirit FP&A team, working closely with the Controllership, VS business unit leadership, and Corporate FP&A teams. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data, creating budgets and forecasts, developing insightful reporting and analytics, and preparing financial presentations for business reviews and management presentations.

- Lead delivery of insightful reporting and analytics to the business, unlocking insights into business performance through data visualizations and other reporting.
- Collaborate with functional areas across the business to continuously improve standardized processes to enable timely, disciplined, execution of internal and external reporting deliverables.
- Build integrated financial planning models, including consolidated driver-based annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Develop appropriate revenue and expense budgets and projections, including but not limited to, functional teams, overhead expenditures, and new initiatives.
- Develop and manage net working capital and treasury cash forecast budgets, ensuring accurate and timely projections to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Develop enhanced analytics in response to changes and opportunities in the business.
- Manage financial statement consolidation, upload, and reconciliation process in Anaplan to ensure accuracy and consistency across financial reports.
- Access and manipulate data from multiple business computer applications into meaningful analysis.
- Analyze business performance, prepare regular reports and make recommendations for improvements. Measure progress of improvement initiatives.
- Prepare concise and accurate presentations for senior management.
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses as part of Varsity Spirit's continuous improvement effort.
- Participate in special projects/studies as directed by management.
- Use leadership skills and experience to mentor analyst(s).
QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle critical deadlines/prioritize work and business processes, and ability to multi-task regularly.
- Ability to analyze situations and quickly formulate appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work independently, and collaboratively with management and cross functional teams. Desire to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable with financial statements and displays thorough knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience using Power BI a plus.
- Experience with and current knowledge of SAP systems preferred, deployment and integration a plus.
- Experience using large data sets to create automated reporting dashboards and visualizations that are easy to use and digest.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics or equivalent.
- 7+ years of progressive financial/accounting experience; 5+ years producing analytics deliverables to end users (data visualizations, dashboards, analytical presentations, data feeds, etc).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC's, laptop, telephone will be required. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; drive, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (5 hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message and email is required.
