Role and Responsibilities:
The FP&A Manager will assist in all aspects of the company's financial operations, gaining exposure to the full scope of operating a finance team at a high-growth startup. You will work closely with the Director of Finance to carry out the Finance team's goal of partnering cross-functionally to drive strong business outcomes at David.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Coordinate departmental planning and budget processes.
- Perform budget vs. actual analyses.
- Create quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Perform ad hoc cost and ROI analyses in partnership with all departments, including Supply Chain, Growth, and Retail.
Financial Reporting and Accounting:
- Assist with the monthly financial close process, executing proper transaction categorization, journal entries, and reports.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of all detailed journal entries and account analyses.
- Assist with all accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities.
- Assist with all COGS accounting and reporting responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities for system efficiencies and improvements, leading implementation of changes where necessary.
Strategy, Corporate Development, and Business Intelligence:
- Identify areas of opportunity to reduce costs across the business.
- Perform special projects and financial analyses to support our rapid growth.
- Collaborate with external parties, including but not limited to bankers and investors, to ensure successful creation and communication of financial results.
- Analyze financial and operational KPIs and make strategic recommendations to drive strong business outcomes.
What you'll bring:
- Professional experience in Investment Banking, Corporate FP&A, Strategic Finance, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, or other related field
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Willingness and desire to help execute on a wide range of day-to-day finance and accounting tasks
- Strong sense of ownership and meticulous attention to detail
- High IQ/intellectual horsepower
- A self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly
- Humble, self-aware, and curious
- A desire to help build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to create tools to increase muscle and decrease fat
Practicalities:
- This is a full-time role.
- Salary: $120 - $150k per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets
