Position Summary: The Frac Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily fracturing operations at job sites, ensuring safe and efficient execution of hydraulic fracturing jobs. This role involves leading a team of frac operators, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that all operations comply with company policies and safety regulations.Key Roles / Responsibilities:
  • Supervise fracturing services at the wellsite, ensuring that all job tasks are executed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Manage and guide frac crew members, providing direction and support during operations, including equipment setup, pumping, and breakdown.
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety standards, company policies, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and performance of frac equipment, including pumps, blenders, hydration units, and high-pressure lines.
  • Work closely with the client, engineers, and internal teams to plan and execute jobs according to the well plan and specific job parameters.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during fracturing operations, including equipment malfunctions or operational inefficiencies.
  • Complete daily job reports, inventory usage, and equipment condition reports. Communicate operational results and any issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in the training of new crew members on equipment operations, safety protocols, and job procedures.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring client satisfaction with the service provided.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hydraulic fracturing operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of frac equipment and operations, including pumps, blenders, and control systems. Familiarity with wellsite safety protocols and HSE regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and maintain morale in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with crew members, clients, and management.
Working Conditions:
  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
