Demonstrates ability to assist director with creativity of calendar planningAssists with carrying out a meaningful therapeutic program to promote the physical and social well-being of the residents.Assists with carrying out a therapeutic program for individuals and groups in accordance with his/her changing needs and interests and coordinated through the resident's care conference. Informally contacts nursing department concerning resident's progress. Motivates residents to take an interest in life and the community.Prepares and conducts resident activity groups and one-on ones.Assists with obtaining information for resident activity assessments and writing initial notes. Assists with program evaluations and studies pertaining to activities.In absence of Activity Director, recognizes resident birthdays.Keeps up to date accurate activity attendance records.Follows infection control, safety department and QI policies and procedures.Work Cooperatively with co-workers and other employees.Support and participate, as appropriate in improving organizational performance.Assists with supervising volunteers and visitor groups when involved in recreation programs.
