Freelance Content Creator Weber Shandwick is seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and organized social content creator to join our growing team on a freelance basis. In this position, you will interact with targeted social communities and network users to promote our products and provide customer care services to new audiences. You must know how to creatively handle various online marketing tools, like websites, podcasts, and blogs, in order to build strong online communities. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fully produce work from concept to completion, including shooting, editing and producing content edits optimized for different social media platforms
- Create content that makes impactful connections with consumers, measured by social metrics (likes, comments, etc).
- Look for insights based on real-time response/reaction to live content on social pages, and adapt content based on these learnings
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Collaborate effectively with your teammates and cross-functional departments on real time, quick turn requests and tight timelines
- Mentor fellow creative team members, in some cases Art Directors and Copywriters, on your creation process and social media best practices
- Partner on key projects under the leadership of your Creative Director to you help guide and educate on best practices, ideating, and execution
- Promote continual creative improvement and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability.
- Incorporate feedback from Creative Directors, teammates and clients with precision and a positive attitude
EXPERIENCE
- A strong portfolio of work showcasing social campaigns and platform first content work
- 3 to 5 years of professional creative experience within an Advertising Agency, DTC Brand, or Public Relations company, with a demonstrable passion for making creative content on a spectrum of media platforms - social, streaming, AR, music, film, interactive, etc.
- Proficient working within the following tools:
- Videography/Photography: DSLR
- Editing: Final Cut / After Effects
- Writing: Google Docs / Word
- Art/Design: Adobe Suite / Google Slides / Canva
- Extraordinary content creation skills, capable of execution from start to finish, with a passion for various kinds of creative outlets including design, video, editing and writing
- Responsible, accountable, and self-starter who demonstrates initiative
- Ability to collaborate with the individuals of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and positive results.
- Resilient mindset, a cheerful and positive attitude, and respect for others
- Ability to familiarize yourself quickly with the client's brand standards.
- Comfort with juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be self-motivated, hard-working, well-organized and deadline-driven
- A willingness to push creative boundaries.
NYC Salary range: $95-$115/hour Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
