We are looking for an experienced Freelance Print Production Artist with advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, and a strong background in preparing design projects for both traditional offset and digital press reproduction. This role requires close collaboration with prepress and production teams to ensure all designs meet the highest standards for professional print production. Experience working with large national retailers is required.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of graphic design fundamentals and be comfortable applying brand standards to existing creative work. You will be responsible for reinterpreting creative concepts into press-ready artwork, adjusting bleeds, and interpreting engineering drawings and architectural elevations. Attention to detail and technical expertise are essential for ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and adapt design projects for traditional offset and digital press production.
- Collaborate closely with prepress and production teams to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
- Apply brand guidelines to existing creative assets, ensuring adherence to visual and style standards.
- Reinterpret creative work into print-ready formats, ensuring color accuracy, layout precision, and quality control.
- Modify and create bleed settings for press production as needed.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and architectural elevations for accurate reproduction and design alignment.
- Communicate effectively with design, production, and prepress teams to streamline the production process and ensure project deadlines are met.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Proven experience working with prepress and production departments in print design.
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles and production techniques.
