Our client, a well-known digital platform, is looking for a skilled Technical Writer to contribute to their media teams. The position involves crafting comprehensive technical documentation, focusing on developer guides and detailed API references. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of software engineering and have a proven track record in producing developer-oriented content.

• Hourly rate range -$38-42

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, user-centric documentation, including developer guides, API references, and SDK documentation.
• Implement strategies for content re-use and single-sourcing to ensure consistency and efficiency across all documentation
• Engage with software engineering teams to gather technical information and ensure accurate representation in the documentation.
• Align documentation efforts with the needs and expectations of both internal developers and external third-party developers.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4+ years in a technical writing role, preferably with leadership responsibilities
• Proven experience in developing documentation for software APIs, SDKs, and developer tools
• Intermediate proficiency in XML, Markdown, or HTML
• Competence with Git for version control
• Familiarity with web services and related technologies is an advantage
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
• Demonstrated initiative and ownership in managing documentation projects
• Proven experience in designing, planning, and delivering content tailored to a technical audience
• Adherence to and effective use of a style guide
