Customer Service Representative
Work Schedule
- Start Time: 12:00 AM
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location:
Remote with a few trips to the Port Washington, NY office.
General Screening Requirements
Temporary Remote Position Considerations:
- Candidates must be prepared to travel to the PW office in the future when directed.
- Candidates whose commute is more than one hour will not be considered to ensure practicality and avoid future concerns.
Skill and Language Proficiency:
- Candidates must have experience dealing with high call volumes and good computer navigation skills.
- Priority is given to French-speaking candidates.
Compensation:
- French-speaking candidates: $20.00 pay rate.
Role and Responsibilities
Customer Service Tasks:
- Handling calls from new and existing business clients.
- Using knowledge of firm products and services to provide support and place orders.
- Resolving customer complaints and troubleshooting issues.
- Documenting customer interactions and tracking call types.
- Maintaining service levels and customer service standards.
- Following up on inquiries about order status, shipping status, and stock availability.
Major Duties:
- Answering incoming calls and processing orders.
- Troubleshooting and resolving customer complaints.
- Documenting customer interactions accurately.
- Upholding customer service standards.
- Taking inbound calls for up to 90% of the shift.
- Performing additional assigned duties.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or call center environment.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and clear, professional speaking voice.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective listening and comprehension skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations.
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
- Strong PC skills, including MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Ability to navigate information systems and the internet.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education degree.
- Experience using SAP.
- Experience in the optical industry and knowledge of Luxottica s optical products.
- Bilingual in French.
Equipment Pickup and Training Details
Initial Pickup:
- Candidates must make two trips to the Port Washington office.
- First trip before training for temporary equipment pickup.
- After one week of training, a second trip for permanent equipment.
Second Pickup and Training:
- Candidates will receive a tour of the building, meet the leadership team, and receive part of the training in person.
- Candidates will set up their permanent equipment at home for the following day's training.
