Operations Trainer is a meticulous, patient, and attentive team member who ensures all new hires are welcomed and trained on all aspects of their new position. Also responsible for the continuous learning process including certifications. The ideal candidate for this position must possess a high level of patience and empathy, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities: - Train new hires and cross-train associates in all warehouse functions.
- Shadow new hires, coach associates, and track associate progress toward Standard Work Requirements.
- Administer initial trainings to associates for Shopping, Checkout, Trip Build/Staging, Put Away, Replenishment, Cycle Count, QA/Scrap, and Receiving on a weekly schedule.
- Ensure that new hires know their schedule, know the names and faces of people on their team, especially their leads, supervisors, and managers
- Shadow and coach associates on learning curves toward better performance
- Enter coaching conversations with associates on the Employee Log
- Collaborate with Leads and Supervisors to administer Written/Oral Assessments, Observational Assessments, and performance audits to all ready associates
- Track progress toward SWRs of all associates on learning curves, with attention to new hires in their first 4 weeks
- During the last week of each month, align with Leads, Sups, and Managers regarding who became certified and earned wage increases during the last month
- Participate in the creation of new training materials
- Participate in the creation of new Feed back forms
- How Was Your First Week? form for new hires
- How Did I Do as a Trainer form, for all associates to fill out post-training
- Work in processes after they have been changed for enough hours to be able to train them expertly
- Conduct certification tests for all inbound and outbound associates
- Works with the Learning and Development team at FreshDirect to curate shared practices
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- In a work day: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
