Job SummaryThe Admiral's Inn is a year-round hotel located in Ogunquit, ME. We are looking to add an upbeat Front Desk Agent to our team to manage all aspects of the hotel guest's accommodations.This is a full time position and can be a combination of mornings, afternoons and evenings. Weekends and holidays will be included.You will welcome new guests and issue room keys, manage reservations and provide information about rooms, rates, and amenities. Other duties and tasks may be assigned to you on a day to day basis.Responsibilities
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
- Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
QualificationsThe following is preferred but not required
- Prior experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role.
- Experience with hotel reservations software
- Customer service experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
