Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Previous hotel front desk experience is a plus. Marriott experience preferred.
Job Essentials:
- Guest Experience: Assist guests with their arrival and departure, ensuring a positive and memorable experience throughout their stay.
- Registration Process: Complete the registration process by efficiently inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, confirming guest details, including room rates and special requests.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments to provide a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
- Communication: Relay pertinent guest information to designated departments (e.g., special requests, amenity delivery) to ensure all needs are met.
- Local Knowledge: Provide guests with information about the hotel, local attractions, and our range of upscale amenities and services.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all guest and hotel information.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure the security of guest room access and document all guest requests, complaints, or issues promptly for resolution.
- Transactions: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, processing guest accounts during checkout with efficiency.
- Conflict Resolution: Manage guest inquiries and complaints promptly, following up to maintain high levels of satisfaction. In cases of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromises following our Make it Right guidelines.
- Reporting: Generate, print, and distribute daily and weekly reports, and resolve discrepancies with the Housekeeping department.
- Safety Procedures: Follow proper hotel safety policies and procedures, reporting all accidents and injuries promptly.
- Clean Workspace: Ensure your work area is clean and free of obstructions to perform your duties safely and effectively.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Other Qualifications:
- Proficient in using moderately complex computer systems to access and input information.
- General knowledge of local attractions and transportation options.
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to observe and respond to emergency situations.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with a focus on customer service.
- Regular attendance is essential, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires standing for long periods (75%+ of the time) and some lifting may be required.
- Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may need to work varying schedules to meet business needs, including holidays and weekends. Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
