JOB SUMMARY: Front Desk Ambassadors are responsible for proactively greeting guests and promoting kiosk usage for check in and check out transactions. Front Desk Ambassadors are responsible for assisting guests with a variety of questions and concerns, suggesting property outlets, programs, and events; all while maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude and delivering excellent customer service at all times. Front Desk Ambassadors must be able to assist the Front Desk as Agents checking in & checking out guests, opening inventory and all other Front Desk Agent responsibilities when directed to do so.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Proactively greets all guests with the proper introduction, and makes them feel welcome; handles all transactions related to checking guests in and out of the hotel per standard operating procedures, specifically working in the lobby to capture guests as they arrive to use the Front Desk Kiosks for self-service; attends to all guest inquiries in an upbeat and positive manner; maintains accuracy in cashiering and paperwork; assists guests with problems and special requests relating to their stay at Harrah's Laughlin or Tropicana Laughlin
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills; must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English, bi-lingual communication skills are a plus, but not required; a minimum of 6 months previous customer service experience.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to perform reaching, stooping, twisting and /or crouching motions repeatedly; must be able to communicate verbally; must be able to stand for the duration of their shift; must be able to patrol hotel lobby to expedite front desk lines and assist customers on self-service kiosks; must be able to occasionally lift 25lbs; must be able to work in secondary smoke environment; must have the ability to remain upbeat and positive throughout the duration of their shift.
