This role serves as the face of the organization and the initial point of contact for all members and guests. In addition to clerical tasks, this role functions as a facilitator, engaging members, directing requests, and escalating matters when necessary. Specific duties include, greeting members and guests, access control, preparing and selling smoothies, handling cash transactions, answering questions, inventory management, and keeping work areas clean and organized. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis role supports both Full-Time and Part-Time positions. Available shifts include early morning, mid-day, evening, and weekend hours. All schedules require a physical on-site presence, as very little to no function of this position may be completed remotely. Shift assignments are established at the time of hire and should remain consistent within reason.
- Full-Time positions require a minimum commitment of 35 scheduled hours per workweek.
- Part-Time positions require a minimum commitment of 8 hours per workweek and a maximum of 20 hours per workweek.
Work Environment This job operates in both a gym and office environment where noise levels vary from quiet to loud throughout the day. This role routinely works with a combination of standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and scanners. Individuals must be computer literate and comfortable working with a variety of computer software and information systems. - Standing & Walking: Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift to greet members, manage the front desk, assist with access control, and move between workstations.
- Lifting & Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 25 pounds, such as smoothie ingredients, office supplies, or merchandise.
- Reaching & Stooping: Regular reaching, bending, or stooping to access items at the smoothie bar, re rack weights, restock shelves, or organize supplies.
- Hand Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a point-of-sale system, computer, telephone, and to prepare smoothies.
- Visual & Auditory Demands: Ability to clearly see and read computer screens, membership IDs, and other documents. Must be able to hear and understand customer questions and respond clearly in a noisy environment.
- Verbal Communication: Clear and audible verbal communication is required when interacting with members, guests, and staff throughout the day.
