Job Description:
Excelsior Wellness is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service expertise, a positive and professional attitude, and outstanding multitasking abilities. This key role will support our clinic by managing client interactions, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow, and contributing to the overall quality of care in a safe, welcoming environment.Basic Daily Responsibilities:
  • Answering phones and assisting patients
  • Schedule Review
  • Work queue management.
  • Collecting co-payments and maintaining a cash drawer
  • Opening and sorting mail
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Registering patients in the EHR
  • Managing internal referrals
  • Checking patients in and out of appointments
  • Assisting providers with follow-up phone calls and letters
  • Scanning and indexing
  • Monitors emergency room notifications and directs them to appropriate
  • Verifying insurance eligibility
Supervisory Duties:This position has no direct supervisory duties.Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent. Associate degree in healthcare orbusiness-related field preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare operations, insurance, and/or scheduling.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with a wide range of constituents
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid state driver's license.
