With a strong commitment to specialized treatments and a patient-centric approach, our dedicated team of professionals offers an extensive range of services, including: Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Location Ghent- Hague Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Position Front Desk Coordinator Position RequirementsNumber of Openings 1 Open Date 11/13/2024 Post Internal Days 0 Description Position Summary:Under general supervision of the Business Manager, the Financial Account Coordinator will be responsible forResponsibilities:
  • Review charges entered by site providers and staff for accuracy
  • Process charges for submission to carriers through electronic software
  • Provide primary point of contact for staff regarding coding and reimbursement issues
  • Work closely with Patient Navigators and Clinic Manager to identify opportunities for improvement and recognition
  • Work required monitoring and workflow reports in a timely manner
  • Process patient statements
  • Review and process bad debt accounts
  • Provide special monitoring of Workers Compensation reimbursement and processing through completion; includes carrier appeals and work with the Commission
  • Maintain Super User status on EMR and Billing systems
  • Medical Chart review for coding compliance
  • Continuously monitor revenue flow to identify areas of concern and improvement
  • Maintain specialty billing knowledge
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Implements new and revised procedures under direction
  • Reviews and edits reports in proprietary software applications to ensure accuracy
  • Communicates issues and proposes solutions to management
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization

??Qualifications and Education Requirements?
  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • at least 1 year of medical billing office work
Preferred:
  • Experience in Physical Therapy billing
  • Experience with Workers Compensation claims
  • Experience with PI claims
Stats
  • Total collections >40%
  • # of claims on unbilled report maintained at less than daily average number of claims
  • AR > 90 days < 15%
