Job DetailsLevelExperiencedJob LocationNew York - New York City, NYPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level4 Year DegreeSalary Range$19.00 - $19.00 HourlyTravel PercentageNegligibleJob ShiftDayJob CategoryEducationDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:Under the general supervision from the Sr Director of Operations & Administration, the New York Film Academy (NYFA) Front Desk Receptionist will perform requested clerical support for the assigned NYFA departments; communicate various information regarding activities and/or response to requests; and provide for timely and accurate distribution of materials. Will assist incoming students and guests being the first point of contact for NYFA. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-day duties required of this position may vary.
  • Answer phones for the purpose of screening calls; transferring calls; respond to inquiries and emails; and taking message.
  • Serve as frontline resource to entire office.
  • Daily use of internal database to update student database.
  • Assist with receiving and processing application materials for Adminssison Enrollment Team.
  • Assist with organizing logistics and plan schedules for new student registrations/orientations.
  • Assist Admissions teams as needed with filing, paperwork and phone calls.
  • Assist all NYFA staff with copying, filing, mail and data entry as requested by the Sr Director of Operations & Administration.
  • Responds to inquires of staff, other educational institutions and the public for the purpose of providing information about the New York Film Academy.
  • Run daily Filemaker report listing newly submitted/updated applications for international students attending NY , LA, SoBe full time programs.
  • Send NYFA International Student Office - F1 Student Visa Information and I-20 application to international applicant emails , via Filemaker.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Sr Director of Operations & Administration; and by senior management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and CERTIFICATION:
  • Bachelors Degree in related field. Experience may substitute for required education up to 4 years.
  • 1-2 years administrative experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience in handling high volume of calls and in-person requests in an office setting.
  • Experience working in an higher education, academic setting.
  • Experience working in a fast pace, multi-tasking, results drive environment with attention to detail.
  • Experience using Filemaker Pro.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
