Overview:
The Highlands is looking for new Front Desk Supervisors to join our team! As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating front office activities of the resort and resolving any problems that arise from guest complaints, reservation and room assignment issues, and other requests. This is a full-time, year-round position with flexible scheduling, allowing you and your manager to work out a schedule that best suits your lifestyle with plenty of time to enjoy the perks of working for an amazing resort! Responsibilities:
The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.
- Monitor team members and observe performances to ensure adherence to resort standards and established operating procedures.
- Oversee and participate in the prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests.
- Answer questions or respond to problems pertaining to guest accommodations and rates; meet with individual guests to aid in planning.
- Train and ensure all team members meet expectations and provide excellent guest service.
- Resolve and take appropriate action on any Owner/Guest complaint or problem in a friendly, timely manner.
- Control overtime through good management and immediate response to problems.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain the appearance of the front office areas.
- Ensure all team members are prepared for work and in clean, complete uniforms.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of resort services/functions and community events, including details such as dates/times/locations
- Cooperate with other department managers to ensure efficient and effective operations and coordination of activities.
- Assist managers on special projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of the front desk or guest service experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous point of sale software experience, and familiarity with Microsoft Office required.
