The City of Dublin is proud to possess a team of friendly and knowledgeable Front Desk Workers who are dedicated to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests entering the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC). Under the direction of the Membership Services Coordinator, Front Desk Workers are responsible for the efficient functioning of the front desk operations at the DCRC.   • Weekend mornings

Note: This is a part time, hourly position that is not eligible for a comprehensive benefits package. Beyond the Paycheck

Examples of Duties Front Desk Worker duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Extensive computer use that includes the processing of sales for memberships, daily passes, activities and classes using the RecTrac management software
  • Balance, reconcile, and file all daily financial transactions
  • Disperse City of Dublin and Dublin Recreation Services information in person and by answering a high volume of phone calls, routing messages, and answering questions appropriately
  • Customer support for the City's online recreation management software
  • Greet the public entering the building
  • Interact with customers and the public to answer inquiries and resolve issues
  • Maintain a current knowledge of all City of Dublin Parks and Recreation memberships, activities, classes and events
  • Interpret and enforce City of Dublin and Dublin Recreation Services policies, procedures and rules
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
Typical Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • At least one year of previous customer service experience
  • Regularly available to work weekend shifts
  • Possession of current American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Maintains composure under pressure
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to work efficiently and courteously with the public and is customer focused
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Willing to work diligently and conscientiously when dealing with work schedules and responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of previous cash handling/financial balancing experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office program
