Job Description:
Job DescriptionJob purpose Safely and efficiently supports North American Loader Industry Engineering Department at KRDNA. Assist with the setup of equipment and testing of machines in the test field or test lab. Equipment and workspace maintenance and cleaning. Assembly and disassembly of test fixtures and test pieces as well as prototype part inspection, production, and modification. Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with test equipment. Test units in an outside testing environment as well as inside a lab environment. Duties and responsibilities
  • Operate equipment and perform test in a safe manner by following verbal written instructions.
  • Fill out testing reports including test conditions and observations.
  • Assists Engineers as needed with testing, assembly, disassembly and inspection of test machines.
  • Reads engineering prints (tolerances, welding annotations) to perform assembly and disassembly of test units or to fabricate jigs and fixtures for testing.
  • Safely and efficiently perform testing in outdoor test field and indoor lab environment.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
  • The team member must also be able to work extended and flexible work hours in order to interface with workers on all shifts as well as international business units and must be physically able to travel domestically and internationally (Up to 10% of travel)
Essential Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma and/or GED.
  • English language competency including demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight.
  • Eligibility to drive KRDNA Truck and Trailer (KRDNA Driver's List plus must maintain a valid CMV License)
  • Able to read and understand engineering prints.
  • Able to use shop tools and perform basic fabrication (cutting, grinding, drilling, etc.)
  • Willing to travel as necessary.
  • Standard office computer skills (MS Office, Google email, calendar, drive).
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with the test, evaluation, and inspection process of tractor implements.
  • Electrical, plumbing, and/or hydraulics experience, including cable or pipe/hose routing.
  • Experience in an industrial setting.
  • Off road and/or farm equipment operation experience.
  • Problem solving and investigative personality that can analytically articulate their perceptions and concepts in a manner that differentiates facts and opinions in verbal and written form.
  • Experienced Shop skills including but not limited to: 1) Welding, brazing, soldering, forming, milling, and turning; 2) Measurement: height gauges, inclinometers, micrometers; 3) Read engineering prints (tolerances, welding annotations)
  • Excellent communication skills.
Working conditions Ability to work in extreme heat and cold. Ability to work in a loud environment. Ability to work both inside in an office area and outside in a test field. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (Up to 10% of travel). Physical requirements While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, stand for the duration of the shift, uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
