Position Overview:
Ensures that preventative maintenance is safety completed on all front end machinery at the appropriate intervals to minimize unscheduled downtime.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Recognize and correct unsafe conditions, guarding, procedures, or personnel actions.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on all F.E. equipment as required.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all front end production and support equipment, in a safe and timely manner.
- Train Front End Maintainers on equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
- Perform periodic machinery testing/inspection to determine alignment, wear, and operating efficiency.
- Complete required documentation on machine maintenance and test results.
- Assist in other areas as needed to maintain smooth can flow through the plant.
- Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and machines and practice proper safety procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
- Ability to train others and answer questions on machinery.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Strong problem-solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Basic knowledge of how electrical components work.
- Ability to use precision measurement devices (i.e. calipers, micrometers and dial indicators)
