Description:The assistant manager is responsible for managing the floor, providing above average customer service, collecting closing reports (mid-day or closing), opening/closing the restaurant, managing the cash register change, assisting with training new staff members, assisting with events outside of the organization, and performing job functions of all hourly FOH staff members. When a manager is not on duty the assistant manager will be responsible for maintaining the staff, handling customer complaints and employee issues, providing aid during busy times and remaining productive during slow times.Requirements: Provide outstanding customer service Able to work in a team oriented setting Leadership skills Commitment to the organization Strong communication Relieve upset customers Delegate tasks during slow times Clarify POS issues Manage employee issues Collecting deposit(s) Supplying cashier with appropriate change Distributing server tips Batching credit cards at end of day Train new staff members Assist with employee evaluationsAdditional Info:Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs and carry throughout the restaurant. Typical work week is 30 to 35 hours.
