For our Mission, click here . POSITION SUMMARY: Supports smooth functioning of Audiology Clinic. Provides customer service to patients by answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting and checking in patients, maintaining electronic medical records and performing other duties as assigned. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer phones and handle calls in a professional, friendly, efficient manner. Schedule appointments for several audiologists and confirm for the next day. Accurately enter patient demographic information into the computer. Verification of insurance over the phone and online. Check-in patients, copy insurance cards, collect co-pays, verify referrals, medical releases. Pull or create charts, prepare any paperwork for patient appointments. Prepare and mail reports to patients. Prepare and mail or fax appropriate correspondence to patient's M.D. Collect payment for all private pay transactions. Create invoices/generate receipts. Maintain the front office lobby, straightening magazines and toys. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date patient record and referring physician database. Packages and ships as needed to manufacturers via UPS and FedEx. Perform other general office support and clerical duties as assigned.
