ABOUT THE ROLE:
Front Office Admin provide initial contact between the patient and the office. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care through scheduling, registration, file maintenance and billing procedures.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
* Answers the telephone.
* Schedules appointments.
* Directs calls to appropriate staff.
* Provides appropriate information as needed.
* Directs customers to appropriate staff.
* Registers patients.
* Enters or updates patient information in computer.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Prior office experience preferably in a medical setting.
* Basic knowledge of computer skills.
* Basic medical terminology preferred.
