Frontier Jr/Sr High School Kitchen Assistant/Dish Room AttendantJob Description:Under the general supervision of the cafeteria manager. The primary duties of the KitchenAssistant/Dish Room Attendant is to help prepare foods, help put stock in its designated areas, cleanand sanitize the dishes and kitchen/cafeteria areas. Follow all policies and procedures of the SchoolCorporation and the Food Service Department.Responsibilities:
- Prepare, mix, assemble, portion, serve and store food as directed
- Follow standards of sanitation in preparing, serving, and storing food
- Store and/or dispose of leftovers in a proper manner
- Wash and sanitize all dishes in a commercial dishwasher
- Clean and sanitize dish room
- Check dish machine gauges for proper temperature
- Help put deliveries in their designated area using first-in-out-process. Date all items
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to lift/push/pull 40 pounds
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stand and twist
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions
- Exhibit good attendance and punctuality
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a group/team environment
Hours: 7:30am - 1:00 pmPart time position-Work August to May, Monday thru Friday
