($15.00-$21.80) Job Title: Hannaford To Go Shopper Department: Hannaford To Go Reports To: Assistant Store Manager Numbers and Titles of Associates Supervised: None Job Summary: As a Shopper you operate as the representative of the customer. Hannaford To Go customers are entrusting you to provide them with a shopping experience that is on par or better than what they would receive if shopping themselves. From fresh item selection, substitution decisions, code dates, and more the Shopper ensures all customers receive a shopping experience that is of the highest quality. Essential Job Functions:As a Hannaford To Go Shopper, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day includes the following: • Greet all customers and provide them with prompt courteous service and assistance. • Accurately match all items from the customer's on-line shopping list. • Ability to shop multiple customer orders simultaneously using the designated tools and • equipment. • Substitute items for customers if they request it. • Assist customers picking up orders at designated pickup location. • Recognize or differentiate between all the various types of produce merchandise carried in the store, including differences between varieties of similar classes of products (e.g., apples, lettuces, etc.). • Bag or package merchandise according to established company policies and procedures. • Label and store in designated area for customer pick up. • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations. Qualifications: • Effective communication and customer service skills. • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions. • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. • Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service. Duties and Responsibilities: • Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures. • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance. • Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and other perishable items. • Support and comply with all company safety standards. • Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed. • Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards. • Be knowledgeable in and able to recognize and differentiate between the various types of produce merchandise carried in the store, including differences between varieties of similar classes of products (e.g., apples, lettuces, etc.). • Record on designated forms any price discrepancies and/or any not on file items that are encountered on electronic point-of-sale terminal. • Secure Shopping Devices and accessories when leaving it unattended; protect company assets at all times. • Assist the Expeditor with transporting and loading orders to customers vehicles as needed. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: We care about our associates, so we want to be clear on some of the physical requirements of this role. • Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift. • Ability to wear the shopping device, hands free while shopping orders. • Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds on occasion. • Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion. • Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary. • Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas. • Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers and household cleaners. • Have sufficient visual acuity to read the shopping device display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
