Job Description: Kenilworth family of 5 seeking an experienced and reliable Nanny. The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position with a loving family. Start January 2025.
Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours a week, actual hours between Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm.
Compensation: $28-$32/hour + vacation, holidays, sick days.
Job Details and Responsibilities: - Three children: 5-year-old, 3-year-old, and an infant.
- The 5-year-old and 3-year-old are in full day school and activities (swimming, soccer, gymnastics). The infant is at home full time.
- Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day care of the youngest child including preparing bottles and food, maintaining nap and play schedule, changing diapers, bathing, and taking the child on daily walks and to activities.
- Responsibilities for the older children will be assisting in getting them ready for school, driving to and picking them up from school, and planning afternoon activities. Full time care of older children required on days off school and summer break.
- Nanny will be responsible for family meal prepping assist (washing/chopping veggies) and children's meals/snacks. Should be comfortable making a variety of healthy foods.
- Light housekeeping includes tidying and organizing the kitchen after children's meals, play areas, children's laundry, washing bottles and children's dishes, and keeping track of the children's needs (diapers, wipes, etc.).
- Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones (how to serve solid foods, potty training, etc.). Should be able to provide developmentally appropriate activities.
- The family has two small dogs. Nanny should be comfortable around pets. No care is required.
- One parent works from home full-time in a separate space. The other parent works from home once a week in a separate space as well. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Qualifications: - Nanny should have at least 10 years of extensive, verifiable nannying experience with infants and multiple children.
- Nanny is looking for a long-term commitment with a family.
- Nanny should be warm and caring. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the child and the family.
- Nanny should be self-sufficient. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of children's needs. Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and anticipate family's needs.
- Reliable and communicative. Will make sure to arrive on time each day.
- Driving is needed for the role. Family will provide a vehicle. Nanny should have a safe driving record.
- Tdap, COVID, and Flu vaccinations required.
