Welcome to Allied Digestive Health! We are seeking a FT Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants in Albany, NY!This role will involve both outpatient and inpatient duties.Summary:The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. This position must comply with the standards of care, which include assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of a plan of care and treatment, implementation of the treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management. The practice is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members.Essential Skills:Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).Has, or is eligible for, hospital privileges.Comfortable multitasking with a sharp attention to detail.Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.Demonstrates exemplary patient service skills and displays courteousness and respect.Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to remain cordial throughout the workday as well as to maintain patience under occasional stressful situations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Computer skills: Electronic medical records, MS Office.Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills.Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA laws and safeguards and the ability to always follow these guidelines.Education and Experience Required:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in NY in good standing.Current DEA certificate.#J-18808-Ljbffr
