Job Summary:
The Payroll Reporting Specialist is responsible for running reports and analyzing data in the Faculty Pay System prior to bi-weekly payroll processing. This position is also responsible for completing external retirement reporting, year-end reporting and data analysis and other external reporting. This position is responsible for presenting payroll trainings for employees. The Payroll Reporting Specialist must be able to work independently and have the ability to complete analysis, identify necessary adjusting entries, and identify areas for improvement or process changes. The Payroll Reporting Specialist also functions as back up for all functions for the Payroll Support positions.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and two (2) years payroll experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience in a highly regulated industry.
Experience with government reporting.
Experience with data analysis and reconciliations.
Significant experience working with integrated financial systems and Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with the Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement Systems (MPSERS) reporting.
Annuity and/or Pension reporting experience.
