If you are an experienced, detail-oriented, Fuel Payables Senior Analyst/Accountant, please apply today!Carroll Motor Fuels is seeking a Fuel Payables Senior Analyst/Accountant who can provide overall support in an accounting & administrative capacity including documentation compilation, data entry, database maintenance, accounts payable/receivables, and offer excellent customer service. Carroll's Fuel Payable Senior Analyst/Accountant is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the organization and the duties include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting and the preparation of tax records for financial audits.This position will be onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in Sparks, MD located off York Road with quick access to nearby Hunt Valley Towne Centre and I-83. Responsibilities:
  • Monitors the performance of the fuel and accounting systems by ensuring feeds and processes are running as scheduled and performing as expected in related areas of responsibility.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves all processing errors related to fuel invoices timely.
  • General ledger research and reconciliation.
  • Understands accounts payable and cash clearing processes according to GAAP.
  • Interfaces with multiple internal departments to resolve fuel payment matters timely and accurately.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and summarizing information as needed.
  • Audit and maintain outstanding issues by supplier and communicate with suppliers to understand and resolve all issues timely.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing ongoing feedback and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Performs other various duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, or equivalent in work experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the Petroleum / Energy Industry is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge with MS Excel.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite or applications Qualifications & Characteristics
  • Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, deal with strict deadlines, above average analytical skills.
  • Must understand accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently or as a part of a team and adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Demonstrates strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail, managing multiple tasks within time constraints and shifting priorities.
  • Must have analytical, problem-solving, and customer service or collections experience, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and reliability.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
