Summary: The supervisor of the Fulfillment Center provides leadership for the Fulfillment Center operation team. This person will be responsible for the operation of specific warehouse division activities. You will have the opportunity to coach and develop your Yami associates team. The major focus is to motivate, mentor, and manage your team. You will ensure the production, efficiency, and quality requirement in one or multiple functions among picking orders, packing, receiving, and stowing products while ensuring inventory accuracy, as well as safety management, problem-solving, and training programs. Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff will be imperative.
Essential Job Responsibilities: - Provide operational supervision in a specific warehouse division with 10-50 associates, plan daily manpower needs, and set schedules to ensure the daily production capability and efficiency target.
- Maintain safety and 5S standards, conduct the safety training and 5S audit to comply with OSHA and company policies and procedures.
- Manage quality, productivity, inventory, equipment, facility management, and customer delivery promises, ensure the operational goals are met and the standards are established and followed.
- Resolve problems and address staffing needs, handle the complexities and have troubleshooting skills, be able to determine the root cause of defects, and implement corrective solutions by using DMAIC, and Lean tools.
- Mentor, supervise and develop associates and leaders in areas of responsibility, provide feedback and positive reinforcement, handle employee questions, and concerns, and follow up with the intent to maintain a positive work environment.
- Need to be data-driven, experienced with operation metrics, and can collect and analyze the existing data to conduct staff performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with support teams including Process Engineer, ICQA, and HR to engage in daily Kaizen and projects.
- Participate in process reengineering or WMS optimization from the insight of on-site practice.
Qualifications and Requirements: - 2-3+ years of management experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, eCommerce operation, or other relevant industries
- Strong communication skills in English
- High school Degree or above
- Dealing with Complexity
- Ability to work flexible a schedule and multitask
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Know lean manufacturing tools and could initiate Kaizen to bring continuous operation improvement.
- Mandarin Chinese or Spanish is preferred
