This is a hands-on supervisory position. The majority of the supervisors' time is spent within the department managing daily operational activities. This individual is responsible for keeping management abreast of capacity issues and working closely with other operating departments to ensure a consistent and cohesive workflow. Associate coaching and development are also an integral part of this position.The base salary range for this role is $53,000-$70,000 annually. This is an onsite position, reporting to our Mansfield Ohio facility.Summary of Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage daily departmental operational activities
  • Manage associate development, to include performance reviews
  • Lead for facility safety
  • Manage staffing levels and request staffing to support capacity requirements and work level
  • Develop programs / tracking of departmental quality
  • Identify departmental productivity improvement opportunities
Minimum Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience (1-3 years in automated fulfillment/distribution environment).
  • Must be shift flexible
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency of WMS platform with ability to perform trouble shooting activities
  • General understanding of distribution operations.
  • Microsoft office suite Word, Outlook and Excel a must.
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Ability to coach and discipline associates
  • Ability to motivate and lead associates, as individuals and as a team.
  • Able to work independently under minimum supervision
  • Able to handle a dynamic work load.
  • Ability to use warehouse technology such as RF devices and pick-to-light.
  • Ability to learn all necessary Material Handling Equipment in order to perform necessary task(s)
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines. Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
