Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $65,000 to $75,000 per year.Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Prepare and process payroll, including tax filings and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Handle tax preparation and filing for the company, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Provide detailed financial reports and analysis to management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the company's financial practices remain compliant.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and support as needed.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a full charge capacity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software's.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Managed accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Prepared financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
