The Full Stack Developer will play a pivotal role in reshaping the boundaries of what s possible at McKesson. This position stands at the crossroads of the digital revolution, harnessing the power of automation and artificial intelligence to drive efficiencies, catalyze innovation, and unlock new revenue opportunities. The successful candidate will design and implement intelligent systems that not only automate tasks, but also learn and adapt to changing scenarios. The Full Stack Developer ensures our solutions are sustainable, scalable, and at the cutting edge of industry standards. The ideal applicant should not only possess deep technical acumen but also a pioneering spirit, ready to navigate the evolving landscape of back-end development patterns as well as front-end interface mediums.

In this role, you will be responsible for research, proof of concepts, technical design, hands-on development, and optimization of AI-powered automation systems in both the digital and physical spaces. Strong collaboration skills are required to work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX Design professionals, AI Engineers, and Quality Analysts, to deliver intelligent automation solutions that elevate our business processes and outcomes. Strong cloud development skills and experience with AI and automation technologies will be essential along with the eagerness and ability to quickly learn.

Position Description

  • Partner with our Portfolio Director to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to business needs and objectives.
  • Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code, consistently across multiple programming languages.
  • Engage in regular code reviews, design critiques, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Adhere to agile development methodologies and actively contribute to iterative improvement.
  • Stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies, trends, and methodologies in software development and the AI domain.

Key Responsibilities

60%:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate, design, and implement new features and solutions.
  • Develop and integrate AI-enhanced applications across both frontend and backend platforms.
  • Seamlessly deploy applications in a hybrid cloud environment, ensuring tight integration, scalability, and resilience.

25%:

  • Work closely with UX Design professionals to shape accessible and efficient user interfaces for our automation systems, keeping in mind the needs of various stakeholders and end-users.
  • Collaborate with Quality Analysts to define test strategies, establish quality metrics, and ensure the stability, reliability, and robustness of automation products through rigorous testing and validation.

15%:

  • Remain ahead of the curve in emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in automation. Evaluate and incorporate applicable advancements into our automation strategy to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Be an active member of the Community of practice, engaging, providing feedback, taking away and implementing actions as needed.
  • Participate in POCs & Hackathons to explore new technologies that meet evolving business requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation, efficiency, and collaborative problem-solving.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years' experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable and supportable automation solutions, including but not limited to Cloud microservices, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML).

Proven experience in managing complex projects from conception to deployment in a hybrid cloud environment.

Technical Proficiency:

5+ years of programming experience in an object-oriented scripting or programming language (Python, JAVA, C, JavaScript, etc)

Proficiency in Azure or GCP using AI/ML services.

Familiarity with modern UI/UX design principles and tools.

Experience with testing frameworks and Quality Assurance best practices.

Demonstrated flexibility to flex between frontend and backend tasks, adapting to what a project needs at any given time.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential issues.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

  • Experience delivering technical solutions for internal and external customers.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile, Lean Six Sigma (or local equivalent) principles.
  • Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications in AI, Solutions Architect, or Developer tracks would be advantageous.
  • Professional Development: Continuous engagement with industry seminars, workshops, or courses related to automation and process optimization.
  • Mobile app development experience is a plus

  • Approximately 20% travel required

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position $93,200 - $155,300
