Full Stack Developer IVJob Summary:Talent Software Services is in search of a Full Stack Developer for a contract position in Richfield, MN. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.Position Summary:We are the Product Data Management (PDM) team. We are building and delivering software and systems that ingest, manage, and publish product data for eCommerce and enterprise use. We are committed to deliver the right software at the right time. This role is 100% pair programming and TDD. We are seeking a full stack engineer who wants to work on an agile development team. Our application stack includes (among other things) Python, Groovy, Java, Spring, and Cockroach DB. There might be a small portion of UI with ReactJS and other tools. Our team typically follows all-day pairing (for everything coding, meetings, analysis and documentation) and rotates pairs every day. Our development process begins with Acceptance Test Driven Development. We do 'Extreme Programming' daily. Qualifications:Building high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systemsBuilding the simplest possible thing that will continually deliver working software to customersService development, REST, HTTP, Python, Groovy, Java, Spring, Cockroach DB, JSON, XMLPrioritize, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver resultsTDD, paired programming, code reviews, and aggressive refactoringWork with open source software and tools (e.g. Spring, Apache, Tomcat, GitHub, GitHub Actions, etc.)Preferred:Knowledge of modern deployment, CI/CD, and configuration management toolsAbility and aptitude to dig into and solve challenging problems and proactively avoid problemsExperience in building web UI with ReactJS, or other JavaScript frameworksScripting, automation, and troubleshooting of processes and systems; scripting in the shell and at least one of the following:Ruby, Perl, or PythonNetworks, security, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure componentsCourage to communicate in an honest and direct mannerWilling to accept decisions that depart from your opinionAble to draft user stories and acceptance criteriaEnthusiastic and self-motivatedExcellent organizational skillsIf this job is a match for your background, we would be honored to receive your application!Providing consulting opportunities to TALENTed people since 1987, we offer a host of opportunities including contract, contract to hire and permanent placement.
