Full-Stack Engineer - PythonLocation: New York City, NY (Penn Plaza) Contract: 6 months with strong possibility of extensions Schedule: Hybrid (3 days on-site per week) | M-F (1st shift) Compensation: $70-81/hour with paid time off and optional benefits plan Onboarding Requirements: Background check Overview: UST is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain technology solutions that support the growth of Apollo Insurance's asset management business. This role will focus on Front Office, Middle Office, Risk analytics, and Performance attributions. Mandatory Skills:

  • Snowflake and Python
  • SQL, .Net, and PowerBI
Expectations from this role:
  • Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options, optimizing application development, maintenance, and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions. Account for others' developmental activities.
  • Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications.
  • Code, debug, test, document, and communicate product/component/feature development stages.
  • Validate results with user representatives; integrate and commission the overall solution.
  • Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components or creating own solutions.
  • Optimize efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Influence and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Set FAST goals for self/team.

  • Adherence to engineering process and standards (coding standards)
  • Adherence to project schedule/timelines
  • Number of technical issues uncovered during the execution of the project

  • Performance Areas:
    • Code as per design
    • Follow coding standards, templates, and checklists
    • Review code for team and peers
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead the collection and documentation of user requirements.
    • Analyze, design, and develop solutions for major components and features.
    • Design test cases, execute manual and automated testing, and document test results.
    • Ensure secure, high-quality code across the entire team.
    • Interface with key stakeholders and business leaders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for delivery.
    • Conduct peer reviews of product designs and related code for value streams/products.
    • Ensure code meets best practice guidelines set by the application/platform vendor.
    • Develop interfaces with other systems, including internal and external checks, controls, and outputs.
    • Follow Agile SDLC and GitHub CI/CD best practices.
    Required Experience and Key Competencies:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
    • 10+ years of relevant work experience in investment management technologies.
    • 3+ years of experience in investment management platforms, specifically BRS Aladdin. Experience with other vendor platforms like Charles River and Allvue Everest is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Python, Snowflake, .Net, and various database technologies.
    • Experience in visualization tools such as PowerBI.
    • Working experience in Agile Delivery Model, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation technologies.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly motivated, thrives in open-ended problem environments.
    • Strong interest in learning and working with the latest technologies.
    • Customer service orientation and strong teamwork skills.
