A leading NYC financial firm specializing in mortgage-backed securities and other asset-backed products is seeking an experienced UI Application Developer (C#, Vue.js) to join a team that develops and implements advanced analytical applications. Candidate must be able to look at projects from conception to completion and be able to explain each phase of the software development process.
Location: New York, NY or Raleigh, NC
Salary: Up to 150k base + bonus
Responsibilities:
- Development, testing, deployment of applications using JavaScript (Vue.js), C#, Java
- Collaborate with team members and members of other teams to ensure delivery of excellent UX in a timely manner
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in developing and testing production quality standalone/web applications and services
- BS/MS degree in computer science or a related field (or 10 years experience as SWE)
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and/or Java in developing commercial applications
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, Angular
- Understanding of web development standards including HTML, CSS and JS
- Experience using Vue JS
- Experience working in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience using Electron to build cross platform desktop applications.
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD
- Experience in an Agile environment with periodic scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and user interface design principles
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the product development life cycle, including coding standards, testing procedures, and code review/validation
