Full Time 9-1-1 Telecommunicator
: Job Details :

St Clair County CENCOM is now taking applications for full and part time 9-1-1 Telecommunicators. Positions will be filled as needed, and applications will be maintained for one (1) year from the time of receipt.

Applicants for the position of 9-1-1 Telecommunicator will be required to answer and process 9-1-1 and 7-digit calls for service including calls for Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services and accurately communicate information to first responders. Additionally, applicants must be able to receive information from first responders, document information into Computer Aided Dispatch systems, and respond to any requests for additional services by first responders.

Hourly: 27.27

Job Requirements

Applicants must be able to type a minimum of 35 words-per-minute, successfully pass a background check, drug screening and be able to obtain full-access LEADs certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch certification. Additionally, applicant must attend the next available 40-hour Basic Telecommunicator course, if they have not already completed it.
