Position - Full-Time Backroom Lead Processor Location -801 Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50021 Rate of Pay - $12.00 an hour Total Compensation Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Hearing, FSA, PTO, Sick Days, Paid Holidays and supplemental Insurance products NO SUNDAYS!!! Job Objective: The purpose of the Store Production/Department Supervisor is to oversee the production process and the personnel assigned to that process with a focus on meeting established production/sales quotas/goals.   • Assign, direct and ensures completion of daily tasks for production/department team members. Including housekeeping for spaces assigned.
  • Trains new team members on production expectations and processes.
  • Provides quality control inspections, ensuring that only the best product makes it to the floor. (Good, Better, Best)
  • Tracks and reports production at scheduled times.
  • Participates in production processes as needed.
  • Proficiently uses cash register at locations that require.
  • Implement assigned strategies to meet product acquisition, production and sales goals for the day/week/month.
  • Know the product acquisition, production and sales goals.
  • Diligently implement product rotation process.
  • Communicates with assigned personnel to place supply orders for next day's processing.
  • Supports management with store maintenance and appearance.
  • Follow procedures for maintenance and safety concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that workspaces are prepared for the next day's production.
  • Looks for ways to improve donor and shopper experience.
  • Communicates with the Store Management regarding all facets of the stores operations keeping them updated on all incidents and concerns for assigned areas.
  • Supports management in creating a positive understanding of policies and procedures. Directs complaints and criticism to management.
  • Supports the protection of the resources under their supervision.
  • Implement Product Control Procedures preventing shrinkage through theft or spoilage.
  • Control property, utility and product supply waste
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or assistant manager. Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: High School Diploma plus 1 year of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience: Retail sales production and/or thrift store experience is highly preferred. Has experience following and giving direction. Skills/Abilities:
    • Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel.
    • Basic computer skills including but not limited to the use of payroll program and the ability to learn other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to use basic math skills.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and back ground test. Supervisory Responsibility: Overseas production team members assigned by management. This may include paid staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.
