Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 6pmSUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Community Liaison will be responsible for engaging in programmatic outreach activities, supervising one Outreach Worker, and providing direct services to girls involved in commercial sexual exploitation.JOB FUNCTIONS*
  • Adhere to implementation of survivor-informed, culturally relevant policies and procedures to ensure all aspects of service delivery are trauma-informed and evidenced-based.
  • Provide direct operational supervision of Outreach Workers, including conducting employee annual evaluations.
  • Ensure the provision of meaningful professional development for Outreach Workers.
  • Carry out tasks as part of the public awareness plan; liaise with key community organizations to ensure prompt recognition of victims and referral to the program.
  • Ensure 24/7 hotline coverage; participate in scheduled hotline coverage and back up Outreach Workers when they have questions while on call.
    • When called, respond in person to administer psychological first aid to girls who are in the life; provide resources, such as Bags of Hope, and emergency aid (food gift certificates, transportation, emergency temporary housing) to offer a path out.
  • Enlist translation services as necessary.
  • Manage case loads of Outreach Workers when providing transitional services; at times, may need to carry a small caseload.
  • Facilitate the provision of emergency aid (hotel for over 18, food gift cards).
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement to enhance girls' safety and aid in prosecution, when appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring a robust schedule of services to include survivor-led group counseling, substance abuse peer support, etc.; take the lead in some service provision.
  • Ensure our preferred referral network is trained in understanding the dynamics of commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Ensure that data is promptly entered into File Maker; review quarterly outcomes data with the team.
  • Required to use personal vehicle, when Centerboard vehicle is not available in order to meet aftercare outreach or appointment requirements.
  • Obtain required training for Agency and job position, in addition to any other training mandated by Centerboard, including multicultural awareness orientation.
  • Complete other tasks or job assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in psychology or related field and at least 2 years of experience working with youth and systems. Experience engaging with law enforcement preferred. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills and have the ability to work flexible hours. Required to pass initial competency evaluation as well as continued assessments of professional development and future trainings.
