The non-negotiables:
  • One year food preparation and cooking experience including, but not limited to: grilling, sauting, broiling, frying, and baking.
  • Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health
  • Knowledge and understanding of food safety regulations
  • Ability to read and understand menus and recipes, substituting equivalents of equal nutritional value when appropriate
  • Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related disease.
What you'll be doing:
  • Prepare and serve the residents in our community
  • Ensure all dietary needs are prepared and met
  • Prepared modified food as directed
  • Ensures accuracy, quality, presentation, and timeliness of food items
  • Performs other duties as needed
Anticipated pay range $18-$21 USD We are looking for someone who:
