Job Type Full-time Description Walt Churchill's Market is hiring a Full-Time Donut Fryer/Baker for our Perrysburg, OH location. Job Description: The Donut Fryer/Baker will report to the Bakery Manager and assist our Head Baker, and is responsible for: * Making, frying, icing, and finishing donuts * Making donuts from dough mix or frozen dough * Making all varieties of donuts and determining which to fill and frost each day * Cleaning up the glazer and all other equipment related to the position * Filtering the donut grease each week * Preparing dough for the following day and communicating with the rest of the bakery department team * Following recipes to deliver on Walt Churchill's Market high-quality baked goods * Making/preparing store-made items such as cookies, rolls, breads, muffins, or other baked goods * Weighing, measuring, and mixing raw ingredients * Operating equipment such as mixers, ovens, and fryers * Bench work (scaling and shaping dough) * Assistance of receiving and optimizing bakery products in the freezer * Organizing and restocking supplies * Maintaining the stock and visual merchandising of the dessert, doughnut, pastry, and artisan bread cases * Maintaining general sanitation practices, food safety practices, and food storage practices within both store and health department standards Schedule: The schedule for this position requires shifts as early as 12am. Requirements * Must be at least 18 years of age* High school diploma or GED* Previous baking experience required (Grocery, Bakery, or Restaurant setting)* Experience in a donut shop with a sheeter, preferred but not required* ServSafe certification, preferred but not required* Must be able to complete tasks quickly and in an organized manner* Effective at multitasking and willing to learn* Must be able to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift* Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds frequently, and occasionally 65 pounds * Must be available to work a Baker's shift (overnight/early mornings) and have holiday and weekend availability
